Making a mobile game is still a hassle in this day and age

This is just a musing of mine.

I did my first game back in 2010.

It's been 11 years since then. What struck me is that game development is still not simplified enough.
There is still quite a high barrier to entry.

Developing the game is one aspect that you have to deal with. I guess this has gotten simpler. Perhaps with all the tools available that abstract away the programming language like C# using visual drag and drop UI.

But then comes the process of delivering to the app stores. This is another hurdle to overcome.

I can't believe things hasn't gotten much simpler.

Perhaps in the next ten years an AI bot will be available to simply create a game you tell it to.

AI bot is already creating impressive art simply by giving the AI bot descriptive words.

It's just crazy to think what AI can do in the next ten years.

now that Covid is somewhat gone...

So outdoor events and gatherings are now in full swing but masks are still required to be put on.

After 2 years I finally got to draw people's faces again. It was good a feeling because it felt like a new challenge after a very long while. I haven't put pen on paper for about 2 years.

My average time to draw a caricature of someone's face is 3 minutes. I didn't time it myself. I overheard a boy mentioning it to his father.

Not bad.

Feels good to own my own time now. And free to do what I like to do.

So much things to do.

Let me list it here:

Building the Hot Hamsters Metaverse and ecosystem. (This alone is a massive undertaking)

Adding more paintings to the Hamster Chef painting collection. I am going to make this collection into a hardcover book.

Creating 3D art and animation. All these will be showcased inside an art gallery in the metaverse.

Creating art tutorials for the iPad. Vector art and water-colour art.

Building up another YouTube channel (a book club of sorts). I have been neglecting this one for a long time.

Updating and adding new exciting levels and story to my existing portfolio of games on the App Store.

Creating another game that is totally different from the existing ones in my portfolio of games in the store.

Creating 3D assets to be used in the Sandbox Game.

Creating 3D assets for users of the Unity game dev platform.

I've got a lot on my plate.

Back to posting Art Tutorials on Youtube

I just posted a new YouTube video on my channel. It's a tutorial using Vectornator on the iPad.

I'll be making more of these videos in the coming days and weeks.

Hopefully it is helpful to people new to the app.
