Exploring the Metaverse: A.I.'s Role in the Future of Virtual Reality

Today, I want to talk about something that I find truly exciting: the metaverse and A.I.

For those who may not be familiar, the metaverse is a term used to describe a virtual world that is fully immersive and seamlessly integrated with the real world. It's a place where people can interact, play, and even work, all within a digital environment.

metaverse1

The current iteration of the Metaverse

As someone who has been using a lot of AI tools, I can't help but think about the role A.I. will play in the development and evolution of the metaverse. After all, A.I. has the potential to revolutionize the way we experience virtual reality.

One of the most obvious ways in which A.I. can enhance the metaverse is through the creation of more realistic and dynamic virtual characters. As A.I. becomes more advanced, we'll be able to develop virtual characters that can not only look and sound like real people but also think and act like them. This will make for a much more immersive and engaging experience for users.

Another area where A.I. can have a major impact is in the creation of virtual environments. A.I. can be used to generate realistic landscapes, cities, and even entire worlds. This will allow for even more diverse and detailed virtual experiences.

But A.I.'s potential in the metaverse goes beyond just creating more realistic worlds. It can also be used to create personalized and adaptive experiences for users. For example, A.I. can be used to track a user's preferences and interests, and then use that information to tailor the virtual environment and interactions to the user's liking.

A.I. can also be used to create virtual assistants that can help users navigate and interact with the metaverse. These assistants can help users find the information they need, connect with other users, and even complete tasks.

AI

What A.I. might look like in the next 2 years

Overall, the metaverse has the potential to change the way we interact with technology and with each other. And A.I. will play a crucial role in making that happen. As A.I. becomes more advanced, we'll be able to create more realistic and immersive virtual environments, as well as personalized and adaptive experiences for users.

Of course, with any new technology, there are also concerns. The metaverse has the potential to blur the line between the digital and physical worlds, and there are questions about privacy, security, and control that need to be addressed. But I believe that with careful planning and responsible development, the benefits of the metaverse will far outweigh the risks.

I'm excited to see what the future holds for the metaverse and A.I.'s role in it. I hope you are too!

Thanks for reading, and as always, feel free to drop me a line with any thoughts or questions you may have.

Metaverse Property Developer

I am now making my work available for everyone to use to speed up their development in the Sandbox Game meta verse.

Over the next few days I will be releasing these and making them available for purchase on Gumroad.

These buildings I have created are fully customisable. They can also be used as it is. Ready to be exported and used in the Sandbox Game meta verse.

Check them out.

Singapore Bank gets into the Metaverse

WHAT. THE. HECK.

I know that Piyush Gupta, the CEO of DBS bank is majorly bullish on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But this came out of left field (American slang for unexpected) for me.

DBS partners with The Sandbox to launch ‘DBS BetterWorld’ to demonstrate how the metaverse can be used as a force for good

Animoca Brands is based in Hong Kong, I guess it's inevitable that DBS HK has been making moves to secure their place on the Sandbox Game's Metaverse.

I say good on them for doing this.

What does this all mean?

I've written on this before I think. We are right at the beginning of the next phase of the internet. It's real and it's happening.

It's like the Internet in 1999. If you're curious what it was like and what major technological moves happened then, read this:

https://www.computerhope.com/history/1999.htm

All the things that we currently have like streaming video and audio services, online shopping, web services etc all can be traced to significant events during this time.

If you were alive back then in 1999, would you have imagined all the things and technology that we have right now in 2022?

That's 24 years of technological progress.

And here we are, right at the beginning of the next phase of the Internet.

Maybe the Internet won't be called the Internet in the next 24 years.

I remembered the term World Wide Web was a popular catch phrase back then but I don't hear as often anymore.

Things are looking very interesting very fast.

Blink and you'll miss it.

Disney is coming to the metaverse.

Huge news. Disney is muscling their way into the metaverse.

It is only a matter of time and it's now official. Check this article from Bloomberg.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-07-15/polygon-crypto-jumps-on-disney-selection-for-accelerator-program

They will most likely be using Polygon to introduce their own Disney tokens.

Polygon is a layer-2 solution for the Entered blockchain. Super fast and cheap transaction. How can you not love Polygon.

The Sandbox Game and Decentraland have already made the move to Polygon mainly due to this.

Disney is a massive brand worldwide.

When they get on board the crypto and metaverse train, they will potentially bring in a HUGE number of people not already in crypto.

Hopefully, smart people in Disney will think of ways to simplify the onboarding of their fans to Disney's own NFTs and digital tokens.

Full Speed Ahead!

It is now official.

I have taken a bite of the Apple and it's time to move on.

I am now going full time focussing wholly on building for the Metaverse with my own IP.

I am no longer bound by time and space.

Exciting time ahead.

Let's ride!

What will the Metaverse and NFTs be like in 2025?

At this stage of the Metaverse, what we can see is the start of onboarding more people.

I would say we have passed the stage of innovators. They are the first few people with the vision of the future.

Right now what we are seeing is the stage of early adopters coming in.

Have a look at this graphic to get a better understanding.

curve

I'd say I am part of the early adopters and I can't wait to help onboard others into the Metaverse.

Anyway, let's get to the point of this post.

The Metaverse in 2025 (about 3 years from today) will most likely be at the early stage of the Early Majority part of the adoption curve.

In 2025, NFTs would be used by quite a lot more people. Let's imagine a few use cases that will be quite important and pervasive in the modern society.

Membership
A loyalty card with a restaurant or a branded clothing shop (think NIKE, GUCCI, Pizza Hut etc) will go digital. This loyalty card, or we can say a membership card will be a digital one. This is an NFT that is stored in a digital wallet that you have control over. This card can be transferred to any other wallet by means of a direct transfer without any monetary exchange. Or if you so wish, you can trade it. You can sell this NFT because it has value in the open market.

Lower cost of education
Institutions of higher learning can sell their entrance fee to their courses as an NFT. And when the student has graduated, he or she can sell this NFT to anyone who wishes to take up any course in that institution. This will make education a lot more affordable.

Royalties earned for the creator of the NFT
Any time that the NFTs are traded, a percentage of that monetary transaction can go to the creator of the NFT. The school that sells the entrance ticket to their courses as an NFT can receive a portion of that resale value in the market place. Every single time it is transacted.

Augmented Reality
in 2025, I assume that Augment Reality devices would be at the start of the adoption stage. This will be very interesting because through AR, we will experience a little bit of the Metaverse. It will not be like a Virtual Reality experience. But it will be quite immersive.
Imagine wearing a simple white shirt manufactured from a company that also has a presence in the Metaverse. They make in-real-life physical items that has their digital counterparts that look more fancy, and possibly animated. In real life, that white shirt will look plain and simple. But when viewed using an AR device, that white shirt will look dramatically different.
For the tech savvy, this will be a major flex. But for those who are not, they wouldn't have a clue.

Interoperable NFTs in various metaverse platforms
I can foresee there will be many different platforms. And a company like NIKE possibly, can create a single NFT that can be used by all these different metaverse platforms. For example, you have the Nike NFT which you can use when you visit a real life store to purchase an item like a shoe at a discount. The same NFT can also track that purchase enabling you to use that shoe in the Metaverse platforms like the Sandbox Game or Decentraland, or perhaps Meta's own platform. You can see this digital shoe using your AR devices! You can use it when you go to a concert in the Metaverse. You can use it when you play in the Metaverse.

We are already entering a new age in this world. I would say the Ethereal era.

We can now truly own an asset that is digital in nature. An asset that lasts forever and has use cases that will always evolve as years go by.

Welcome to the Ethereal world.

Big companies getting serious on the Metaverse

I just read this article that headlined KPMG entering the metaverse.

Seriously. What? An accounting firm is dipping their toes into this.

Check their own articles on their website. They are definitely on to something here. They are not playing around. They can see it.
https://home.kpmg/xx/en/home/insights/2022/04/the-future-of-the-metaverse.html

Also, Meta (previously Facebook) is showing off their iterations of Meta's VR headset and they look promising.

Slowly, but surely these headsets are getting thinner, lighter and untethered. Very close to our regular glasses.

What will a full blown metaverse experience be like?

What will it look like?

The same question was asked about the internet. Back in 1995. At the time, people were so sceptical of it.
Check this article out.

And here we are in 2022. At the precipice of the next evolution of the Internet. The so called Metaverse.

Mind Blown.

In the next post, I will share my thoughts on how the majority of people are going to get on this Metaverse. Whether they want to, or not.

It is inevitable.

Building for the Metaverse

I am knee-deep in this space.

I can't stop building in the Sandbox Game metaverse. Every single day I've been putting in the work into making 3D voxel assets.

I feel every passing day my skills just keeps going up.

I keep building and creating.

Right now, I've just released my first full experience inside the Sandbox Game. It's the first version, and I will keep on iterating and adding more to it.

Here's a trailer:

3D artwork, assets, models, sculptures, buildings etc. There is so much to do.

I am so excited to create stuffs that other people would love to have and use.

Once I have a good sized amount of voxel assets ready for the sandbox Game, I will be looking into creating assets for other platforms like Decentraland.

I'm not sure on the future of Decentraland, but for sure the Sandbox Game is going places. Their team and CEO is super hardworking. Really amazing.

I'm not the OG in this space, but I truly feel I'm right at the start of something so much bigger that will happen in the coming years.

The sentiment in the crypto space right now is very bearish. Funnily enough I don't pay that much attention to it.

Life itself is volatile. So all we can do is just ride the wave. In the meantime I keep building.

What's the future of Web3 going to be like?

I just read an article on Yahoo Finance where executives from Meta square off with their counterparts from Animoca Brands over what their vision is for the metaverse.

I have to say that I am very much aligned with the thought process of the guys from Animoca Brands. Hence why I am very buliish with the Sandbox Game. The Sandbox Game is a subsidiary of Animoca Brand and their idea of a decentralised future for the metaverse is very very appealing to me.

It just makes sense.

Meta still believes in centralised control. Much like the status quo now. They own your data. They buy and sell your data and profit off of your data. Whether you know it or not. Just by interacting with their sites like Facebook, instagram and their WhatsApp messaging platform.

You don't get ANY of that profits generated from that trade. When services like those mentioned are free, what do you actually give up?

Nothing is free. If you're using something that's free, you're actually the product that is being sold and traded.

You give up your privacy. They know where you're from, what you like to see, what your daily screen time habits are and what you might like to buy and eat.

And most damning of all, you give up your time.

All for nothing.

kek

I like Meta's product, namely the Oculus Quest. I love VR.

But, if the future of Web3 is going to be the same old style that's Web 2.0, the metaverse is really going to be a dystopian nightmare.

Can we avoid a similar situation like the one portrayed in the movie Ready Player One?

There's going to be a lot of competitors in this space. What can Meta do to set themselves apart. They're already losing the battle by making their platform a centralised one.

The world is very rapidly moving towards Web3. Decentralisation. Real democratisation of personal data, digital assets and free trade between peers.

Power to the people.

I need more time

I am burnt out. Well almost.

I definitely need more time to focus on developments inside the metaverse, and Web3.

There's so much one can do within a limited time in a day.

So if you're reading this and you know what I am currently developing and you are keen to help and to join forces. Let me know. Hit me up on twitter or email me.

Japanese style buildings for the Metaverse

I just finished creating 4 buildings for the Sandbox Game metaverse in record time. 1 week. Wow.

Here is a look at all of them. Gameplay video will be posted soon once I am done setting them up and arranging them on the Sandbox Game Land.

Are Metaverse Lands the Future of Real Estate?

The Future of Real Estate: Metaverse Property

Could the future of real estate be online? Real estate, as it’s known today, is the purchase and sale of physical properties, whether that’s land, buildings, or homes. However, real estate is changing, and it’s starting to go digital. Recently, there have been a number of high-profile purchases of digital properties, including some from major companies. Read below to learn more about how this works and how to get started buying and selling virtual property.

How it Works
In the metaverse, it’s possible to move around and visit different metaverse worlds or lands, each one as distinct as the person or company that owns it. These virtual lands can be used for just about anything, from classrooms using augmented reality to museums to showcase NFTs. Anyone can own the virtual land, but it is necessary to go through a real estate agent to purchase land in the metaverse before it can be owned and used. Real estate in the metaverse is purchased using cryptocurrencies, and the land itself is an NFT. Once it is owned, the owner can o anything they’d like with it.

Big Sales – And They’re Increasing
There have been a number of high-profile sales recently. One of the first sales was for $10,000 by an early adopter. More recently, however, a blockchain company purchased space in the metaverse for more than $2 million. The land they’ve purchased is intended to be used to host fashion shows. As more people are showing interest in the metaverse and it continues to expand, sales are becoming more frequent, and prices are climbing. Similar to the dot-com boom in the late 90s and early 2000s, people and companies are trying to get in at the beginning, with the hopes that their investment now will increase in value later.

Why is Virtual Land Valuable?
Virtual land varies in value based on a number of factors. The size of the parcel can impact how much can be developed in the space, so the larger the land, the more the owner can do with it, and the more expensive it will be. There are various landmarks in the metaverse, so being closer to those can raise the value, as can land that is strategically placed to allow for ads. There’s also the popularity of the metaverse. As it continues to grow and more people become interested in it, the prices for land will continue to go up. More visitors equals more value for the land.

The Reason for the Interest
Virtual and augmented reality are relatively new platforms, but they’re rapidly expanding and improving. Right now, there is a high risk for the purchase of virtual land, just like there was with the purchase of websites back in the dot-com boom era. However, many people are starting to see the potential when investing in virtual products or land, which is helping it gain more popularity and helping to increase the value of the digital land. Right now, there is a boom surrounding the metaverse and the real estate value, and it’s only expected to grow.

How to Get Started
So, how does someone purchase land in the metaverse? It is possible to go through a real estate agent or broker. They already know what land is available for sale and the cost and can help connect buyers to the right land to purchase. Land in the metaverse is purchased using cryptocurrencies using various platforms that exist. Buyers can purchase directly through the platforms, but working with a real estate agent can be helpful, especially if the buyer is looking for something specific.
Physical real estate transactions aren’t going anywhere – people still need houses to live in, and corporations still require buildings for offices or retail stores. However, the future of real estate is expanding and will include the metaverse. Right now, it’s possible for anyone to purchase land in the metaverse, and it may be wise to get started today, as the value of the land is only going to increase.

The Sandbox Game

Are you on the Sandbox Game yet?

They provide FREE tools to create 3D assets, games and experiences. You can own these assets and trade them.

What the Sandbox Game is doing right now is monumental.

I will just list a few things you can do here but in reality there's A LOT more!

  • They provide creators with tools to create for free.

  • Creators are able to sell on their marketplace with just a 5% fee. And this 5% fee they will be using it to fund and support the creators.

  • Creators can create game experiences and sell them.

  • Sandbox Game provides LAND space to place the game experiences on them.

  • These LAND spaces are available on the marketplace so you can be a LAND owner.

  • LAND owners can buy these game experience and place them on their own LAND, or they can also rent their land to game creators who do not own any LAND.

  • Players can play these games and have opportunities to compete and win cryptocurrency like $SAND.

  • Sandbox Game is planning on making it all decentralised without a single governing body, and you'll soon be able to vote on any actions that the platform will be making.

I can already see that there is a complete internal economy right there. An amazing opportunity right now that will only get bigger in the future.

The Sandbox Game is going to effectively democratise the creator economy.
It is going to be HUGE, in the same way that Apple democratised software development with their App Store in 2009.

Some might say, "yeah well I don't play games. It's not for me".

But here's the thing. The Sandbox Game is not just gaming. You don't actually need to create a game. You can build experiences, music events, art galleries and so much more.

I haven't been this excited since 2009 when the Apple App Store was just getting started.

The Cookie Munster Cookie Bake NFT

This is THE Cookie Munster NFT for the BAKE NFT platform.

cookie munster BAKE nft

There will only be one of this for the Bakery Swap platform. This model you see here will also be inside the Sandbox Game metaverse as a statue. When the model is up in Sandbox game, it will be an NFT on its own within the SandBox Game and will be airdropped to the wallet that contains this Cookie Munster BAKE NFT.

I have plans to create that statue NFT in the Sandbox Game platform as a ticket to enter an exclusive part within the LAND that I own and enjoy the experience within it.

The Cookie Munster BAKE NFT is only for serious collectors and who also has an interest in the Sandbox game platform.

Check back on this page for future updates and development concerning the Cookie Munster experience within the SandBox game (currently in development).

My first metaverse real estate

I missed the initial Land Sales on Sandbox. That was many months ago. The only option I have is to go on OpenSea to see if there's any Land for sale for me to make my first dip into getting a virtual real estate.

So here it is. I finally got one.

myLand

See that orange square pixel? Yes. That represents one parcel of Land. It measures 288 x 288 voxels.

The location is -123, 68
